It is now official. The date of our 3rd Annual Preserve Our Heritage Picnic at Fort Davidson State Historic Site in Pilot Knob, Missouri is 4/28/2012. We would like to begin the picnic around 11 A.M.
The True Invisible Empire Traditionalist American Knights of the Ku Klux Klan decided we wanted to do something to stop our heritage and history from being stripped away from us by communist socialist bureaucrats and various special interest groups. You see the Confederate flag once flew here at Fort Davidson.
In January 2003 after Democratic presidential candidate little Dick Gephardt had said the flags should not be flown anywhere, the flags were ordered pulled down by Steve Mahfood, Director of the Dept of Natural resources. Mary Still, spokeswoman for Gov. Bob Holden, said she called Natural Resources Director Steve Mahfood after reading an Associated Press story about Gephardt's statement. "I told Steve it seemed to me it wouldn't be appropriate to have it flying on a flagpole, but that I didn't know all of their considerations and I left it in his lap," Still said.
Little Dick Gephardt said: "My own personal feeling is that the Confederate flag no longer has a place flying any time, anywhere in our great nation." Well I must say that my own personal feeling is that little Dick and other cowardly politicians like him should never be elected to office in our State or any State in this Union.
This order to remove the Flag must be rescinded, we must demand it. If not, they will continue in the process of removing all things Confederate from the public eye, Flags from textbooks, monuments of Confederate heroes, and even from the Confederate soldiers grave markers themselves which they have just recently done. The Confederate flag is an American flag, one that served as a symbol for an estimated 60,000 Missouri members of the Confederate Army. This was there flag, they fought for it, they were buried under it, and many of their bodies were shrouded with it. In Missouri, the flag had flown for decades without controversy or criticism from public officials at Fort Davidson and the Confederate memorial near Higginsville. The remains of 694 Confederate veterans and 108 wives are buried at the site.
The Traditionalist American Knights will not let Missouri forget our history and heritage. Our venerated dead march beside the Klan in spirit.
Join us on April 28th, 2012 . Let's show them they cannot rewrite our history or steal our rights!!
